Kit FH3002s - German Pz. Kpfw. II Ausf. L "Luchs" Initial
By Henk Timmerman / HenkofHolland
The Pz.Kpfw. II Luchs was a fast reconnaissance tank of the German Army during WWII. It served with the German armoured reconnaissance battalions from Autumn of 1943 to 1945.
800 vehicles were planned to be built by M. A. N (ID-number VK13.03), but only 100 were ever produced.
The tank was equipped with a 20mm canon, had a wide rear turret escape hatch but no smoke grenade launchers. According to the text on the box, this type was used by German 9th Armoured Reconnaissance battalion during the Normandy Campaign of 1944.
Length: 4,63 meter
Width: 2,48 meter
Combat weight: 11,8 ton
Armament: KwK 38 2cm gun & MG 34
Maximum speed: 60 km/h
It comes in a normal carton box (size 26 x 17 x 5cm), however without the foam packing used by Flyhawk in previous kits. The sprues are separately packed in plastic bags.
