Revell 1/72 Leopard 1A5 / second page (by Murad Özer)

Hello friends, Murad Özer continues Leopard 1 article..

I applied AK washes to accentuate panel lines, to create shades around the raised details while adding depth to the model overall. For surfaces which are receiving direct sunlight i used a mixture of 2 parts AK DAK and 1 part AK NATO washes to obtain an oily dark brown tone. On vertical surfaces and the grills around the engine block i used NATO wash directly. Excess wash was removed by Talens odourless white spirit!

Almost done - Matt varnish sprayed on, awaiting drybrush:

Final shots, drybrush with naples yellow oil color and ak dak wash in between tracklinks:

Thanks for watching, see ya at the next miniafv. :)
