I applied AK washes to accentuate panel lines, to create shades around the raised details while adding depth to the model overall. For surfaces which are receiving direct sunlight i used a mixture of 2 parts AK DAK and 1 part AK NATO washes to obtain an oily dark brown tone. On vertical surfaces and the grills around the engine block i used NATO wash directly. Excess wash was removed by Talens odourless white spirit!
Almost done - Matt varnish sprayed on, awaiting drybrush:
