Airfix 1/76 Churchill Crocodile tank (by Murad Özer)

Hello everyone,

Today, Murad tells us a model ..Tastefully watch it ..
Erhan..

Black and white primer/preshading using gunze gloss black and white.
Further highlighting whites using vallejo acrylics with paintbrush, ready for basecoat.

Basecoat is on with Gunze H304 Olive Drab heavily thinned with cellulose thinners and shot around 1bar. Began doing the missing mudflaps at the front fenders. Will let the paint sit a bit then off to decals and winter white wash.

Here it is with the worn out winter white wash applied with the help of the well known hair spray method, there are 3 layers of white on the vehicle in NO particular order: tamiya flat white, gunze off white, whichever white is at hand mixed with gunze radome.

Once the white wash was worn out with a flat brush dipped in warm water, lots of enamel and oil paints are applied to break up the monotony and to do stains and streaks.

TO DO: Mud on the wheels and tracks, and a base.

Started the tank about 3 weeks ago as a supposedly weekend project to see the hairspray chipping technique / faded winter white washes in effect for the first time, it ended up as this vignette now. Everything except the tank on the scene is entirely scratch built from household materials.
Enjoy.

Murad Özer..
