Zvezda 1/72 S-400 Air Defense System (Turkish Army) / By Burak Özdil

Today I am publishing an special modeling project of Burak Özdil. A first in 1/72 scale modeling, the S-400 air defense system of the Turkish Army

The Turkish Army bought the S-400 Air Defense System from Russia in 2021. After this time, modeling an S-400 became more interesting, especially for Turkish modelers.

Our miniafv group is working on 1/72 scale modelling, it's hard to find kits at this scale.

Modelcollect released the first kit for the S-400 in 1/72 scale. (Modelcollect 1/72 Russian S-400 Missile Launcher Early Type **inbox review**)
However, it was impossible to model a Turkish S-400 with this kit. Then we were happy with the kit that Zvezda released. I previously shared the in-box preview of the Zvezda S-400 kit, (Zvezda 1/72 S-400 "Triumf" SA-21 Growler **inbox review )This kit includes the S-400 transporter truck Maz 7910..

But the problem was with the truck carrying the S-400 system. The S-400s that Turkey bought from Russia arrived mounted on the MZKT-7930 truck. (MZKT-7930 Astrolog "Russian: МЗКТ-7930" is a Russian army 8×8 transporter-erector-launcher. designed and developed by the MZKT in Belarus. This vehicle is included in the Zvezda Iskander kit. (Zvezda 1/72 "Iskander-M" SS-26 "Stone’un" Russian Balistic Missile System)

Burak made the S-400 model for the Turkish Army by using the parts of both kits.
