Airfix 1/76 Churchill Crocodile tank (by Murad Özer)

Hello everyone,

Today, Murad tells us a model ..Tastefully watch it ..
Erhan..

Black and white primer/preshading using gunze gloss black and white.
Further highlighting whites using vallejo acrylics with paintbrush, ready for basecoat.

Basecoat is on with Gunze H304 Olive Drab heavily thinned with cellulose thinners and shot around 1bar. Began doing the missing mudflaps at the front fenders. Will let the paint sit a bit then off to decals and winter white wash.

Here it is with the worn out winter white wash applied with the help of the well known hair spray method, there are 3 layers of white on the vehicle in NO particular order: tamiya flat white, gunze off white, whichever white is at hand mixed with gunze radome.

Once the white wash was worn out with a flat brush dipped in warm water, lots of enamel and oil paints are applied to break up the monotony and to do stains and streaks.

TO DO: Mud on the wheels and tracks, and a base.

Started the tank about 3 weeks ago as a supposedly weekend project to see the hairspray chipping technique / faded winter white washes in effect for the first time, it ended up as this vignette now. Everything except the tank on the scene is entirely scratch built from household materials.
Enjoy.

Revell T-72 M1 Mbt (by Murad Özer)

T-72 - 1/72 Revell 03149
Built this kit couple of years ago but managed to ruin it during weathering then used it as a test subject but after being unimpressed with Revell's recent T-90 i decided to give this one a new paintjob. Here's how the T-72 looked like before the renovation:

Instead of recreating the same camo i've decided to finish it as an Iraqi tank from Op. Desert Storm in the usual sand color also turned it into a vignette depicting the tank in a hull down defilade over; what's missing is an inbound hellfire missile off an Apache gunship obviously, but that can be a story for another build.

Revell 1/72 M60 A3 & M9 Bulldozer Kit (by Murad Özer)

Hello,

Great kit in braille scale from Revell here dating back to 2004 except the recent addition of the M9 Dozer blade of course.

This is my first try of MERDC camo ever and after much deliberation decided to finish in the Summer Verdant scheme and here's the result. Dark green is painted with airbrush to serve as a basecoat but the rest of the 3 colors were all handpainted with Vallejo acrylics in multiple coats. Weathering is kept to minimum with mostly pigments.

Base of the vignette is shaped out of packing foam, wrapped around with paint paper which was smeared with thin layer of plaster. After smoothing out the plaster with 600 and 1200 grit sandpaper the inner space was filled with air drying clay.

Wooden-looking trim is actually burnt sienna oil paint applied with a bad brush.

Enjoy another MiniAFV.

Revell 1/72 T-90 (by Murad Özer)

Hello,

Russian T-90K (1/72 Revell 03190)
This is my take on the T-90 painted with what looks like a promotional / trial 3 tone digital & disruptive camouflage scheme for urban environments tho i’ve weathered the MBT to my liking and imagination for all the reference pictures i could find on the internet (/modern-russian-camo) had the vehicles in pristine condition mostly.

Still, despite being a 2013 release from Revell the kit itself is not impressive at all but i enjoyed painting and weathering this particular camo very much,
