Hi guys,

Today, we are sharing a plane. TAI Hürkuş was made by Turkish engineers .. And the kit  was made by a Turkish company. TANMODEL This kit first product for company and preparing for new models.

The TAI HÜRKUŞ-A model kit is launched with 50 easy-to-build and highly detailed pieces. These include a detailed cockpit, with Martin Baker Mk T-16 N 0/0 ejection seats and detailed instrument panels, together with separate control surfaces. The large canopy is faithfully represented and the undercarriage can be modelled either up or down. This kit is intended for beginner and experienced modellers alike. The box also contains a high-quality decal set, prepared by our sister brand TANDECAL. This will offer option for factory roll out scheme.



I added some hand made details in cockpit, ejection seat belts, pitot tube and canopy parts.

Son bitirdiğim kit olarak beğeninize Hürkuş’u sunmak istedim. Bir Türk model firması olan Tanmodel'e  ait 1/72 ölçek Hürkuş uçağının maketi. Öncelikle şunu söylemeliyim ki Türk firması olarak gurur duyduğum bir kite imza atılmış. Kutusundan plastiğine, yapım kılavuzundan dekaline kadar, çok beğendiğim bir kit oldu. Parçaların uyumu harika. Ufak tefek düzeltmeler yaptım ama bunlar her modelde olabilecek düzeltmeler niteliğinde. 

Model daha üretim aşamalarında ilgimi çekmişti. Normalde pek 1/72 ölçek maket yapmam ama bu
farklı ve Türk modelciliği adına desteklenmesi gereken bir modeldi diye düşündüm. Aralıklarla günde 3 veya 4 saat kadar bir çalışma ile iki hafta gibi bir sürede bitirdim.

  

Kokpitte birkaç ekleme yaptım. Aynalar, hortumlar, açma kapama kolları ve koltuk kemerleri gibi.
Onun haricinde pallerin açılarını düzelttim. Motor hava alığının içini açtım. Egzostların ağız kısımlarını zımpara ile incelttim. Gövdede ki birkaç anteni elde yaparak ekledim. Son olarak da seyrüsefer lambalarını yaptım. 

Kısa bir süre içinde gövdeyi toparladım. Çok az miktarda macun kullanımı ile parçalar eklendi. Gövde birleşimi bittiğinde gri astar üzerine beyaz boyayı attım. İniş takımları da komple beyaz olduğu için kiti boyamak kolay oldu. Dekaller yerine de şablon kullanarak boyama yapmayı tercih ettim. Dekali şeffaf sticker’a fotokopisini çektirdim. Ve kit üzerine uygulayarak kırmızıları boyadım.

En zorlu yer pitot tüpü oldu. Toplamda 11 parçadan elde imal ettim. Değişik kalınlıklarda teller ve 

plastik parçalar kullandım. Kit için o kadar uğraşmışken pitot tüpünü es geçmek olmaz diye karar 

verdim. Son olarak tüpü de eklediğimde kit tamamlanmış oldu.

Hürkuş (english translation free bird) is an important project for Turkey. Designed and developed by Turkish engineers.

Tanmodel, a new plastic model kit manufacturer and Turkish origin. The second plastic manufacturer Turkey (first manufacturer of PM is now closed) Hürkuş, the first product of the TAN model company and more coming. I want to support for continue.

About HÜRKUŞ
New Generation Basic Trainer (HÜRKUŞ) Development Program contract was signed between the Undersecretariat for Defense Industries and TAI in March 2006. HÜRKUŞ with day and night mission capability; instrument flight, navigation and formation training phases will be realized.

Within the framework of the program; two aircraft configurations are being developed.
HÜRKUŞ-A: Basic version which is to be certified with EASA according to CS-23 requirements.
HÜRKUŞ-B: Advanced version with integrated avionics (including HUD, MFDs, and Mission Computer).

Following the completion of taxi tests, the first aircraft of HÜRKUŞ-A Configuration successfully performed its first flight on August 29, 2013 at TAI's facilities. Consequent to the flight permission of SHGM (Turkish Civil Aviation General Directorate) and EASA (European Civil Aviation Authority), the first flight, which lasted 33 minutes, was performed with open landing gear position at a height of 9500 ft. During the flight, the first checks were performed on control surfaces and a successful landing was realized.

Stability and control checks in different flight configurations have been conducted in the following flight tests. Landing gear up-down tests, cockpit pressurized tests and system functions pre-checks have been performed. The aircraft has reached 30.300 ft height and 295 knots speed currently. The flight tests are still ongoing.

The first prototype has performed 114 flight-hours in 104 sorties. During these flights;15.000 ft altitude, 295 knot speed and 4.4 g values have been tested.

The second prototype with TC-VCI tail number has performed it's first flight on 10 September 2014. During the tests performed so far; 30.300 ft altitude and 291 knot speed values have been tested.

As a resolution of SSIK's meeting, held on Sept. 26, 2013, in order to meet the 15 new-generation trainer aircraft requirement of TurAF, contract negotiations regarding the serial production of HÜRKUŞ was started with TAI. The negotiations regarding HÜRKUŞ-B contract is on the signing stage currently.
