Revell 1/72 Leopard C1A1 "Mexas" (KFOR) by Onur Uz

 

Hello,

You've been seeing a lot of Leopard tanks on "miniafvblog" lately. This trend will continue for a while longer.

Today there is a model from Onur Uz. We will see the conversion of the Leopard 1 tank into the Canadian Mexas (C1A1) tank. He used an aftermarket resin set (from Modell Trans Modellbau) for this.

1/72 Canadian MBT Leopard C2A1 MEXAS (Revell + Modeltrans) / by Burak Özdil

Hello dear friends,

Today the miniafv crew Burak Ozdil and his Mexas tank

Burak Özdil used Revell Leopard 1A5 kit and Modeltrans aftermarket conversion set /MT72166 for Leopard C2A1 MEXAS (ISAF)

Mexas originally a Leopard tank.  The Leopard C2 Mexas is an upgraded Leopard 1A5  which started slowly replacing the aging Leopard C1 fleet from 1994 to 2000.

From the start, the C2 was designed to be able to receive the then brand new MEXAS (Modular Expandable Armor System) ceramic composite armor add-on.

small discussion : I think the pigment is a little too much. Burak says it is suitable for references.
