Kerem continues to exhibit his collection with a Matchbox kit. 

The kit includes two historical French tanks. Kerem gave life to Char B.1

Trumpeter 1/72 French Char B1 bis (by Burak Çınar)

Hello everyone,

Char B1 has a past till 1919 as an idea of concept of a breakthrough tank development in France. Researches on the machine advanced in different steps and renewed due to developing requirements. Finally, Char B1 was started to produce at the end of 1935, and in early 1937, the production was switched to the favour of better Char B1 bis.

Char B1 bis had one 75 mm howitzer, one 47 mm anti-tank gun and two 7,5 mm machine guns. The tank was 31,5 tons which made it one of the heaviest of the interwar tank technology in the world, probably the second after the Soviet T-35. Its frontal armor was 60 mm thick, a heavy protection for a breakthrough tank in early Second World War. Side armors were also thick as 55 mm. There were 369 Char B1 bis entered the service between 1937-1940.

This Char B1 bis was Trumpeter's braille scale model. After a clear assembling, I have sprayed it all with "Polisan 312 nefti yeşil" (dark green) as primer and then went on painting sand with brush. I liked the blue heart on the turret very much. I have carried out effects in two ways. At first, I used oil paints for washing, using the mopping up technique, and second I have applied to Tamiya's mud effects.

Ostmodels 1/72 FCM Char 2C Super Heavy Tank (by Henk of Holland & Tomas Hrdlicka)

Hello dear friends,

We also share a model today.  But not an ordinary job.    So far always we were together with Turkish modelers. But there is an exception today because  Henk Timmerman (Henk Of Holland .. everyone knows of course) and Tomas Hrdlicka with us... Welcome dear friends...

During World War I the Frech had issued a specification for a heavy "breakthrough" tank, Char de Rupture C, at a weight of about 40 tons. Two prototypes, Chars 1A and 1B were produced in 1917-18. Then, later development produced an even heavier tank -nearly 70 tons in weight. This was the Char 2C. It did not become operational during the war, but 10 were built, the last being delivered in 1922. In their day they were the most powerful tanks in the world, with a crew of twelve, a 75mm gun in the front turret and four machine gun (one in an auxiliary turret at the rear of the tank). One of them was converted to mount a 155mm howitzer as well as the 75mm and the four machine guns and led some Intelligence circles to think that France was building large numbers of "Super Tanks". The Char 2C had two 250 hp Mercedes engines driving electric generators to run a motor for each track and give the tank a top speed of 8 mph.

All of this tanks were destroyed in 1940, when they were being transported to the front by train.
FM2C n° 92 and 95 have been destroyed by their crew after they broke down. The other 6 tanks have been transported by rail south of Neufchateau. They have been subject of air attack but without damage. All the tanks have been sabotaged by their crew since they could'nt be dismounted from their rail transport cars. (the rails were on an abutment and the rail track was curved).
