Hello everyone,

Onur Uz prepared today's page. Thank you Onur...

Erhan..

Onur's note :

This time I'm starting the kitbashing thing. I am adding Trumpeter Abrams mine plough to the Dragon Abrams M1A1 model, and I will create the rear basket with 3D printing...

There is no need to explain the M1A1 Abrams, one of the milestones of modern tanks, I am starting the series at the same time with this Abrams, a collection consisting of different countries and models :)...

Takom 1/72 Object 279 Soviet Heavy Tank (construction process) by Erhan Atalay

Hello dear friends,

I shared the in-box review of this kit in December 2019. Click if you want to remember https://miniafv.....takom-172-object-279-soviet-heavy-tank.html

I did it during the pandemic. I forgot to share :) It has not been painted yet, I hope it is done too.

In the last part, there is the comparison with the

T-62 tank. It's not a giant tank.

Erhan...

Object 279 Heavy tank : In the 1950s at the height of the cold war, the Soviet Union designed the Oyject 279 (Object 279). As a tank that could withstand a nuclear blast. The disk-like body was designed so that it would not fall over in response to the blast and shock waves during a nuclear explosion. The body armor was 269mm thick at the top, 305mm thick at the front and is made to withstand APDS bullets and HEAT bullets.A prototype was completed in 1959 and various tests were conducted.
