Plastic Soldier Co. 1/72 Raupenschlepper Ost (Rso) & Nebelwerfer 42 (by Cem Esen)

Hello,

Plastic Soldier's kits are generally wargame style, fewparts without details.

Cem turned one of them into a realistic model. He opened the windows, put on transparent pieces, made many scratch-build additions. It was a nice work with RSO (Raupenschlepper Ost) and Nebelwerfer 42 added after it.

Well done Cem, we are waiting such good works from you :)

Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 Mercedes L3000 truck by Cem Esen

Hello dear friends,

Today, Cem Esen and his minitruck Mercedes L3000 with us.

This kit from PSC Kit WW2V20020 - German medium trucks - (without Ford V3000)
2 x Opel Blitz and 1 x Mercedes L3000 cab . Each sprue contains options to build an L3000 Mercedes cab option, a Maultier option, 2 cargo beds and a canvas tilt. The cab has open windows, 2 driver figures and cab detail. Very nice box for wargame.

Cem added a few details.   In my opinion an exquisite piece.

Congratulations Cem ....

Plastic Soldier + S-Model 1/72 Pzkfw Nebelwerfer 41 M(5) (+M5 Stuart) /by Numba Toby

Hello dear friends,

Today we have a guest. I will share a foreign friend's model every month. Today we have Toby de Castro (nick name is   Numba Toby) from the Philippines.
Welcome my friend..Your work is very interesting and I like it very much.
Thank you for sharing..

Abandoned US Army M5's left during fighting in the Hedgrow around Carentan, France where quickly hauled away hoping they could be of use against their former owners. German engineers enjoyed the low maintenance and wonderful cross country performance of the M5's but were disappointed with the 37mm main gun. Wanting to take advantage of their booty, the Germans mounted the 5-tube 21cm Nebelwerfer 41 rocket launcher and converted the fast tank into a fast mobile rocket launcher system. Prior to launching its payload, the tube launchers would be rotated to the 9 or 3 o'clock position to avoid damaging the engine or burning the items on the stowage rack. This vehicle would become the grandfather of the modern M270 MLRS *

This is a fictitious tank converted to a mobile rocket launcher. This vehicle never existed (nor does the book I supposedly wrote). This was a subject inspired by a good friend Dr. Raphael Marbella who showed me a photo of a Neb 41 on a Matilda Tank.

I remember completing this in 2014 and this is the combination of the Plastic Soldier Co. M5 Stuart tank and an S Model Nebelwerfer 41 2cm rocket launcher.

S-Model Nebelwerfer 42 bathed with Vallejo Model Air German Grey.

Neb 42 with a little highlighting and wash.

Tried to see how the German Grey rocket launcher looked with the chipped/faded Dark Yellow.

Plastic Soldier Company 1/72 British A9 Cruiser Tank "inbox preview" (by HenkofHolland)

Plastic Soldier Company - Kit WW2V20023 - British A9 Cruiser Tank in the 1/72 scale.

The kit comes in a carton box from 23 x 15,5 x 7,5 cm. (So a big box) The box contains (6 sprues) 3x 1/72 British A9 Cruiser tanks suitable for the early campaigns in France 1940 through to the desert campaigns in North Africa. Inside the box are tank commanders suitable for both campaigns. Decals are not included.

My opinion after a look to the parts is, the kit has maybe a little less quality in detailling and sharpness then the sModel kits, but the kit is until now far away the best A9 kit we have in the 1/72 scale. There are no sinkholes, flash, injection or pressing marks on the wrong sides of the parts.

Really an object for all modellers that like British vehicles. And a object for modellers with experience to bring the model to a higher class.

Dimensions original vehicle which are found on Wikipedia.
Length: 19 ft = 5,80 meter
Width : 8 ft 4 inch = 2,50 meter

In 1/72 scale
Lenght: 80,5 mm
Width : 34,7 mm

Dimensions of the PSC A9 – (upperdeck with mudguards)
Lenght: 80 mm
Widht : 35,5 mm

My conclusion is that the model is in correct scale.

The pictures from the build model (quick build as test) are from Geoff Baines, which are showed on the Missing Lynx forum.
The other pictures are all from my hand.
This pictures are also a primeur (first showing)

Best regards,
Henk...
