Trumpeter 1/72 BTR-80 APC (by Murad Özer)
Hey folks,
This here is my BTR-80 finished in Russian Green overall. I had a very late Afghan - Russo war scenario in mind when building it hence it's got dust on it for the weathering.
A lot of work had gone into base color to vary it as much as possible. The green is actually sitting on top a wide array of preshading; I used blue tones for shadows and yellow for the highlights also some tiny bits of buff and earth tones were mixed into the basecolor of Gunze 302 which was lightly misted just barely covering the entire surface.
The filters and the pin/washes were done using AK and MiG products and rest of the stains and weathering were done mostly with earth tones from Humbrol enamels.
Word of caution tho, during the build check the suspension height for the wheels might end up with zero clearance into the chasis -which is unrealistic for this particular vehicle!- which can be easily avoided and/or fixed however.
Thanks for watching and enjoy another MiniAFV guys.

Thank you Murad,
Erhan ...
